In Motion for Kids is a nonprofit organization that supports and empowers children with disabilities and trains professionals in pediatric neurorehabilitation therapy. We focus on a family-oriented approach with realistic, implementable therapy plans tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family or caregiver.
We work directly on location with the children and the people involved in their everyday life, the family, caregivers, and therapists, to find supportive, creative, and affordable solutions that help the child grow in their own abilities.

Meet our founder
Kirsten Ursem founded In Motion for Kids with a deep commitment to helping children with disabilities reach their full potential through family centered neurodevelopmental therapy.
Her passion and dedication have shaped our organization’s mission and values, creating a supportive environment where every child can thrive.
After more than 30 years working in pediatric physiotherapy, I’ve learned something simple but profound: every child has an inner light. Sometimes it shines boldly. Other times, it’s hidden beneath layers of struggle, silence, or systems that don’t see them.
I’ve spent my life working with children who don’t fit neatly into categories, children with neurological disabilities, developmental challenges, or circumstances that limit their potential. And time after time, I saw how much more could be done when families, caregivers, and therapists worked together, not just in clinics but in daily life.
I founded In Motion for Kids to share what I’ve learned — to empower families, train local therapists, and create practical, everyday solutions that help children thrive in their own communities.
This isn’t about charity. It’s about collaboration, sustainability, and belief — belief in each child’s ability to grow, and in the power of those around them to help make it happen.
At In Motion for Kids we focus on practical, impact-driven services designed to help children with disabilities move with confidence, grow with purpose, and thrive in their own environment. Making a lasting difference, right where it’s needed most.
